We’re Partnering with Veterans in Need Project: Crossroads Gun Show & Beyond

By Matt Harvey, Little 6 Industries | Published: April 2026 | 8 min read

🇺🇸 Join us April 25-26: LitTLE 6 Industries will be at the Crossroads of the West Gun Show in Phoenix with Veterans in Need Project. Every shirt, sticker, and laser-engraved piece sold puts money directly into veteran hands. Come see us at the Arizona State Fairgrounds.

Why We’re Partnering with Veterans in Need Project

I spent 25 years in the Arizona Army National Guard. I retired as a Major. I know the veteran community.

Consequently, I also know the gap between “veteran support” that sounds good and veteran support that actually helps.

Too many veteran organizations are heavy on overhead and light on impact. Money goes to salaries, marketing, and administrative costs. By the time a veteran sees any help, the $100 donation turned into $12 of actual assistance.

Veterans in Need Project is different. 100% volunteer-run. Zero overhead. Every dollar goes directly to veterans.

That’s why we’re partnering with them.

What Is Veterans in Need Project?

Veterans in Need Project (VINP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based right here in Maricopa, Arizona.

Founded by local high school students. Run entirely by volunteers. Zero paid staff.

What They Do

VINP provides micro-grants to Arizona veterans facing immediate financial hardship.

Not months-long applications. Not bureaucracy. Not “we’ll get back to you.”

Micro-grants mean:

  • Gas money to get to work this week
  • Diapers for a new baby
  • Emergency utility bill to keep the lights on
  • Groceries when the bank account hits zero
  • Car repair to get to job interviews

Small amounts. Immediate impact. Real help when it’s needed most.

The 100% Volunteer Model

Every person involved with VINP is a volunteer. No one takes a salary. No one takes administrative fees.

When you donate $100 to VINP, a veteran receives $100. Not $88 after overhead. Not $65 after salaries. All of it.

Moreover, VINP focuses on Arizona veterans exclusively. Your donation helps veterans in your community. Not scattered across the country. Right here.

How Our Partnership Works

We’re not just writing a check and slapping a logo on our website. We’re building something sustainable.

Every Purchase Supports Veterans

Military Heritage Collection Products:

  • $1 from every sticker sold → Veterans in Need Project
  • $5 from every shirt sold → Veterans in Need Project
  • $5 from every laser-engraved piece sold → Veterans in Need Project

This isn’t a limited-time promotion. This is how we’re operating from now on. Every Military Heritage product puts money directly into veteran hands.

Transparent Impact Reporting

We’ll report quarterly on how much we’ve raised and donated to VINP. No vague “we support veterans” messaging. Actual numbers.

You buy a shirt. VINP gets $5. A veteran in need gets help. Simple.

Joint Events & Awareness

We’re attending events together. Starting with Crossroads of the West Gun Show in Phoenix this month. More events planned throughout the year.

Every event gives us a chance to tell more people about VINP. More awareness = more donations = more veterans helped.

Why Veteran-to-Veteran Support Matters

I’m a veteran. LitTLE 6 Industries is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).

Consequently, supporting other veterans isn’t a marketing strategy. It’s personal.

The Reality of Veteran Financial Hardship

Veteran unemployment is lower than the national average. That’s good news.

However, many veterans live paycheck to paycheck. One emergency wipes out savings. One unexpected expense creates a crisis.

Common veteran financial emergencies:

  • Car breaks down, can’t get to work
  • Medical bill from VA delay or gap in coverage
  • Utility shutoff notice while waiting for disability claim
  • Housing deposit needed for family relocation
  • Childcare costs during job transition

These aren’t “handout” situations. These are temporary setbacks for people actively working to support themselves and their families.

Why Micro-Grants Work

Big nonprofits focus on big programs. Housing. Job training. Long-term support.

Those programs matter. However, they don’t help when a veteran needs $150 for gas money this week to keep their job.

VINP fills that gap. Small amounts. Fast turnaround. No red tape.

Moreover, micro-grants prevent bigger problems. $150 for gas today prevents job loss tomorrow. $200 for utilities prevents eviction next month.

Prevention is cheaper than crisis intervention. VINP understands this.
